Hannah's actions
Food
Choose Organic Ingredients
I will enjoy 2 meal(s) cooked with organic ingredients each day.
Nature
Explore My Area
I will explore at least one new hiking trail or nature walk in my area.
Nature
Tend a Garden
I will tend to a garden, or prepare for one, each day using sustainable gardening practices.
Nature
Do Nature Activities
I will engage in nature-based activities alone, or with my friends or family, for 60 minute(s) each day. (This can be anything from going on a walk or hike, to noticing the leaves changing color, to reading a book with nature themes.)
Community
LEARN ABOUT TRANS, FEMME, AND NONBINARY EXPERIENCES
I will spend 20 minutes learning about the experiences of trans, femme, and/or nonbinary people.
Food
Plant an Herb Garden
I will plant an herb garden in my home, workplace, or dorm room.
Waste
Use a Reusable Mug
I will avoid sending 4 disposable cup(s) to the landfill each day by using a reusable mug.
Nature
Enjoy the Sunrise/Sunset
I will enjoy the sunrise and/or sunset each day.
Waste
Skip the Straw
Plastic bags and small plastic pieces like straws are most likely to get swept into our waterways. I will keep 1 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill and ocean each day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.
Waste
Reduce Single-Use Disposables
Cheap, single-use items and disposable packaging end up blowing around as litter more often in poor and POC-majority neighborhoods. I will find out how I can limit single-use items and do my best to limit the waste I generate.

REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodConsider the ways you can garden: a plot of land? a patio container? hanging basket? windowsill gardens? What would work best for your living situation and lifestyle?
Hannah Libhart 104 4/22/2025 7:34 PMI bought a grow tent specifically for the purpose of being able to grow my tomatoes and strawberries despite the cold weather we recently finally got out of. I think that worked pretty well for my lifestyle as I still get to have a garden even when it gets cold out. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWasteWhat single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What did you substitute or could be substituted instead?
Hannah Libhart 104 4/22/2025 7:30 PM- TEAM CAPTAIN
I regularly get the Starbucks drinks from the humanities building, and they always come in plastic cups. Instead of getting a new cup every time, I could buy a use a reusable cup. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodMany people say that “you can’t feed the world with just organic food.” How would you respond to that statement?
Hannah Libhart 104 4/22/2025 7:26 PM- TEAM CAPTAIN
I would say that if we actively worked to make it possible, it absolutely would be. The only reason organic food can’t feed the population is due to our reliance on inorganic foods and if we used the energy we put into those into organic food, we wouldn’t face that problem. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNatureHave you ever had a significant experience in nature that altered your perspective or focus? If so, please describe it.

I just remember being a little kid sitting in the long grass of my front lawn listening to the sounds around me of the birds singing and the squirrels rustling through the trees, when a small rabbit hopped through the branches and started eating the grass. I felt so still, just watching it and seeing what it was doing. I think it was the first time I realized that all the animals out there were just like me in their own way, because after he saw me he just sat there still watching me and seeing what I was doing.
