I went with my dad and my dog Max to a hiking trail by lake Redman. It was pretty long, but it was really nice outside and I figured I'd spend time with my dad and dog in nature.

REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicityWhat are your top 3-5 core values? How did you narrow it down to those as being your core values?
Thomas Snyder 103 4/22/2025 6:23 PM1. Authenticity
2. Kindness
3: Honesty
4: Connection
5: Strong work-ethic
I had a lot of things in mind when deciding these values for myself, but I was able to narrow it down to these five since the other things I had in mind are linked to these bigger ideas. I also put authenticity as my first value because it doesn't matter how good you act, if you're "faking" being a good person and having good values just to avoid consequences or to have people like you, then you aren't really a high value person. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodCanning and pickling food is a great way to have delicious summer fruits and vegetables all year round. Just make sure to follow the canning and pickling guidelines from the USDA or another trusted source. What are some foods that you would like to preserve and enjoy later in the year?
Thomas Snyder 103 4/22/2025 6:05 PMI really like bread and meat. Learning how to baek bread with my mom was more fun than I thought it'd be, but also a lot harder than I thought it'd be as well. My dad also taught me how to vaccum seal meat, which was actually really easy. -

REFLECTION QUESTIONWasteOur ability to recycle certain things ebbs and flows based upon many factors, including market demand for recyclables. Luckily there are places that accept uncommon things to recycle or dispose of in a less harmful way. What did you find when looking for places to recycle items that can't be recycled in your curbside bin?
